How to survive in the woods

I learned alot in this part of the book. I learned how to make traps for fish and land animals like bears and small game. It is very easy if you know how to do it. If you prop a very heavy log on a cross so that if an animal hits the cross it will fall and kill any small game. It will only work if you have some bait under the log that will attract the desired animal. you can also dig a deep hole and put weak sticks over it and then put leaves and anything else that would be on the ground over it. With this you also need bait of some kind on top.

This is great to no if you are lost in the woods without a gun and are going to be there for a long time. If you dont have a gun the only thing your going to be able to do is trap so you need to know how to make them. YOu also need to know what a desired animal eats and the book also talks about this. But it would be better if you just had a firearm and the boook explains what guns are best. You want a rifle with a scope because they are the most accurate and they kill the biggest variety of animals effectively. handguns would be the least desired because they are usuallly the least accurate. Shotguns are the best for killing small game so you really dont want one of those.

I like the book so far it is keeping me interested especially when it talks about hunting. I had a good reaction to all this because it is good to know . I really like reading about catching and hunting animals because it is something i am interested in. I dont like some of it though because I already know it but i guess it is a good refresher.
